Embed with clients, design their first agent deployment, and ship it — then bring everything you learned back to sharpen how the studio builds.
What you're signing up for
Forward-deployed engineers sit between Bytevon and the client's hardest problem. You will scope a client's agent use case, architect the system, and build the integration end to end — often on-prem, often under real constraints. You are the client's senior engineer for the duration and the studio's sharpest source of ground truth afterward.
The work
- Scope and design agent deployments for clients, from first conversation to production.
- Build the system end to end — policy, planning, security, and observability — in the client's stack.
- Lead on-prem and cloud rollouts, including the unglamorous parts: networking, data, and access.
- Translate recurring field problems into reusable engineering patterns.
- Be the trusted technical voice in the room when the deployment has to work.
You bring
- 5+ years building and shipping software with direct customer or stakeholder exposure.
- Full-stack range: Python and TypeScript, plus comfort with cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
- Strong systems thinking — you can design an integration and then go build it.
- Excellent communication; you can earn a skeptical customer's trust.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for critical deployments.
Bonus signal
- Experience with on-prem or air-gapped deployments.
- Background in solutions engineering, consulting, or professional services.
- Familiarity with RAG pipelines, agent frameworks, or MCP.
What you'll work with
What we offer
- Competitive salary and equity.
- Travel covered, with generous comp days.
